ADVANCE recently asked via Facebook what your favorite apps are for use with clients/students. We heard some great responses!
Esther Bertrand: Just ordered Dexteria for my patients Ipad.
Kayla Shelton: Communication apps, color blindness chart, eye chart.
Melissa Rogers: I have used the fish pond app for relaxation/stimulation.
Luanne Carbonetti-Horne: I use many of the preschool and educational apps for letter tracing and visual perception and visual memory. Also, games as a reward!
Lisa Olsen: My choice board, dragon, story kit, word slap, children's books by Dr Seuss, expressive, ABA flash cards, audionote. I love the iPad and its ability to engage and enrich the lives of the students I work with. It is the most versatile and efficient tool I have seen.
Michelle Sluszka Bowman: Depends on the setting. I've done word find, spelling, first words (all of them), color and shape matching. I used quite a few when I was working in pediatrics. I loved Pro-lo-quo when I worked with kids with ASD. It was fantastic.
